The urns are designed to decompose in natural environments such as the soil under the influence of moisture and microorganisms. This process can take several months to years. In dry environments, such as at home, the urn retains its shape and can be kept as a memento for many years.

Yes, our urns can be customized. We offer laser engraving to emboss names, dates or symbols on the lid, making the urn a unique keepsake.

The size depends on the body weight of the deceased before cremation. As a guide, a volume of approximately 30 cubic centimeters (0.03 liters) is required per kilogram of body weight. For a person weighing 70 kg, this corresponds to a volume of approx. 2.1 liters. We will be happy to help you choose the right size.

Farvel urns are shipped in sturdy product packaging and a shipping box to protect them from damage. We work with experienced shipping service providers to ensure that the urn arrives safely to you or directly to the funeral home.

As a rule, we will hand over the ordered urn securely packaged to our shipping service provider within 24 hours. You will receive a tracking number as soon as the order is on its way. Depending on the delivery area within Switzerland, a further 1-2 working days may be required for shipping.
If you are ordering from another country such as Switzerland or the order is urgent, please let us know in person or via your funeral home. We will find a quick and safe solution for you.

Yes, of course. Delivery abroad is possible without any problems. Please note: Experience has shown that it can take a little longer for the parcel to arrive due to customs. If you have any specific questions, please send us a short message or give us a call.

All Farvel urns can be used for burial. Our material is robust and burial in the pouring rain is no problem for our Farvel urn. However, if you want to place the urn in a long-term outdoor urn niche or columbarium, the urn may change over time. If you are looking for a weatherproof model, you can contact us and we will try to find an individual solution.

If you are not satisfied with your choice, please contact us within 14 days of receiving the urn. Please note that personalized urns cannot be exchanged.

As the production process requires both modern technology and skilled craftsmanship, a closer look may reveal minimal deviations such as fine irregularities. However, these characteristics are part of the uniqueness of each urn and do not affect its stability or aesthetic appeal.

Yes, we can deliver your urn directly to a funeral home. Enter the delivery address of the funeral home during the ordering process and inform the funeral home about the delivery.

Yes, if the chosen funeral home does not yet offer Farvel urns, you can simply ask for them. We will then be contacted and take care of everything else.
