Our philosophy and what is important to us

Our urns are as unique as the people they honor. They combine modern style with a deep respect for nature. With Farvel, we focus on aesthetically pleasing design and sustainable, biodegradable materials to bring a new lightness to the culture of farewells. Our urns combine tradition and innovation and create space for an individual farewell that touches and does justice to both the deceased and those who remain. For a conscious, personal farewell that reflects the uniqueness of every life.

    Social responsibility

The lids of our urns are made at the St. Jakob Foundation, which integrates people with disabilities into working life. Our ashes bags are made at the Heimstätten Wil Foundation. Through this collaboration, we promote social integration and sustainable craftsmanship. In addition, our raw materials are certified organic wherever possible and do not have a long transportation route.

    Sustainable materials

Our urns are produced in Zurich and are made from biodegradable wood fibers from Europe. The marble comes from Italy, the wooden lids are made from FSC-certified wood from Europe and the cork comes from Portugal. The organic cotton for the ash bags comes from Uganda and Tajikistan. Farvel urns can be completely decomposed in the soil and enable an environmentally friendly farewell in harmony with nature.
